Cassia District

The district is located just outside the town, in the direction of Cariati. Here stands a beautiful farmhouse dating back to the late 18th century, owned by the heirs of Marquis Anselmo Berlingieri. The structure is fully functional and has even been chosen as a filming location for movies.

The name of the district, "Cassia", likely derives from the name of the owner of an ancient Roman villa—probably of imperial origin—whose remains were found in this area: a certain Cassius.
